Jetlag

Since my return from Asia a week ago, I've been having an interesting new sleep schedule. These days I'm really tired at night and go to sleep at anywhere from 8:30-10:00pm and I wake up around 4:30-6:00am in the mornings (I woke up at 7:15am yesterday, which I now consider "late" =P). This sleep-early/wake-early thing has been really good actually. Since I wake up so early, I get to start off my day early and do all sorts of things before I leave the house like: read the Bible, pray, exercise/jog through Golden Gate Park, eat a large breakfast, do homework and reading, etc.

This morning as I was reading through Exodus, I came across the part where God was giving instructions to the Israelites on how to build the Tabernacle. Brought back a funny memory because when Sam was little, he used to call the Tabernacle "Table Barnacle" because he didn't know how to say it and we would laugh about it haha. How cute. =P

Goodbye Burma/Taiwan/Macau

(my latest email update from Asia)

Hello Dear Family and Friends,

Thanks to everyone for your prayers (esp Mommy/Daddy/Sam, Felicia, Moon, Chris, Vicky, Phoebe, Akemi, Jillian, James and everyone else who has been praying!). GOD definitely has been hearing your prayers because I'm recovering from this sickness (no more vomiting and fever, PTL!) though I still went diarrhea 4x yesterday and haven't really had much appetite to eat stuff, also super fatigued and feeling depleted of energy every day when I walk (which feels very unlike my normal self!). I've not been quite this sick before =/ Perhaps it might be bacterial infection or me not use to water/food here (but I was pretty okay on V-SET!)... or perhaps it's the Devil's work. But all is good.. God is way more powerful and mighty than any of Satan's thwarts. I PRAISE God for giving me opportunities to share the Gospel Bridge in great detail at all 3 of my travel locations (Burma - 3 girls, Taiwan - uncle, and Macau - aunt, cousin, grandma) to various family members and friends I met. Yesterday I shared the Bridge with my beloved grandmother (daddy's mom) and she says she believes and thanks Jesus for taking care of her and blessing her children... although she says she also believes in Buddha =( I explained John 14:6 to her - that there is only ONE WAY, ONE GOD - but I think she still believes both... gotta keep praying for her as well as the rest of my family in Asia! During my time overseas, I was also able to meet up with Kendrick, Billy, and Dawson! Twas a blessed time of fellowshipping, catching up, and prayer at the end. I'm truly thankful to Heavenly Father for all the experiences I had during this 12 day Asia-trip. He allowed me to not only see my beloved relatives who live afar but also share His precious Word with them; I'm so glad =)

Now I'm at Taipei Aiport awaiting my flight to SFO... still feeling sickly and tired and I've got school tomorrow =/, please pray for strength and that I trust God with everything as I still haven't gotten all my classes yet, and there seem to be some glitches in terms of my UCLA Nursing School admission status! I'm thinking of you people in the States too (miss you!)... hope my ICA bros/sis had a good God-encountering time at Winter Conference (share with me what you learned)! I'm excited to come home to share about my stories/experiences in Burma/Taiwan/Macau with you all. Thank you again for your prayers and let's keep turning to and loving Jesus!

Love,
Frances

P.S. (and for those who asked) YES OF COURSE I would love to Skype/talk/meet up with you when I return to the States! <3

Not in America

In Burma, Taiwan, and Macau from Jan 6-18.

:D :D :D

Planning to share the Gospel/Bridge with my relatives (some of whom I have never met before!) because I want all of them to know Jesus and have eternal life, so if you could pray for me and for God's power to work through us, that would be super! THANKS :)

Looking forward to practice my Cantonese, Mandarin, and limited Burmese :P

Hello 2011

A new year already. 2010 was a really good year, definitely filled with many lessons, hardships, pain, joy, new experiences, growth... but I'm excited to enter 2011 - with a new guitar! and a new haircut (really short and ugly though) - with Jesus! I want to make it my ambition to continually deny myself by putting others first and loving them with the Love that God first showed me and follow Christ.

In the process of writing a semester update so stay tuned for that.
